Art form and it's genesis

As a blogger it has been my attempt to bring in different perspective and open new thinking on anything and everything. And here's something that came up while watching a documentary on art and design.
What struck me to write this blog and share my view is the connection between the art and the environment....
Here's some examples
Iran (Persia), China, Japan, Kashmir: These regions are famous for their Delicate and meticulous carvings. However,  western India, is about colors, outfits and ornaments...So what is the genesis of the type of art in these regions....

If you look at the Persian, Chinese, Japanese & Kashmiri weather condition it is extreme cold and people prefer to stay indoors for days together to avoid bitter cold and snow fall. However Western India has been completely opposite, it was more outdoor and exploratory in nature.

What does this imply, Sitting in one place for days together made intrinsic/detailing on art became a way to kill/pass time which over a period of time took shape of cultural art. Whereas in west people prefer to hang out and look for avenues and opportunities outside. Hence more focus on what you dress and how can you stand out....

You may counter the argument and I will welcome your views to help make this POV stronger.
