The Evolution of Circles
Sometime ago we used have limted circles and most them were physical networks. Look at our parents. Their circles were limted to their immediate cousins to extended family members...As the nuclear family system became bigger there were neighours...For men their were office cirlces, school friends and colelge friends...their were different rituals and understanding among these circles.
From there, now there are virtual circled that are largely driven by social networks. While, I consider these as shallow relationships.These are more about that music group, that biking group, that movie group and so on and so forth.
And there are rituals for these social groups as well. which may not be true always...The actions in these groups are driven by the mindset where one wants to project, "What I want to be seen as" as against "what I am"....
