Random Observations: Mobile Beyond Communication
Back to the basics: With technology one of the biggest shift in human race is getting back to the basics. In literal sense. Referring to the prehistoric days; before the advent of language; people used to converse with signs; symbols and images.... With mobiles coming in; we have the SMS language which is quite like a sign language. It is a mix of English; local language; letters; smilies and numbers 2morrow; 2day; BRB; LOL; ROFL etc....it's quickly replacing language. Another most important application of mobile in India is "Pictorial communication"....It is used to suggest a location; mood; success; image; SEC, expression ans attitude... Remember those days when a trainee would get a chance to be part of the high level board meeting just to copy notes and make MOMs; has now got replaced by a click on the board which is extensively used for discussions.... This not only simplifies but captures what's been discussed pictorially
